Tekoa Mountain, near Spokane, is private property and is flown by land-owner permission only.
A USHPA chapter, Center of Lift, is the site steward for Tekoa Mountain.

The COL pilots have a good working relationship with the land owner. They contact the land owner and are told yes or no on a day-by-day basis. (If the road is muddy or fire danger too high, they will be told no.) If the landowner is out of town it may not be possible to get permission to fly. There may be times when the gate is left open due to farming, but contact must still be made with the land owner before driving on the road. No exceptions.
