McDonald Mountain
McDonald Mountain, located about 12 miles S of Tiger, is owned by the DNR, who are willing to allow us to access and improve the launch sites once we secure an acceptable LZ within glide from launch. While there are many pastures that are large enough and close enough for safe hang glider landings, so far discussions with landowners have not been successful. As of spring 2011, members of both the hang gliding and paragliding communities are working with King County towards creating a multi-use park near the base of the mountain, that would include an area for a landing zone.
