| Chelan Cross Country Classic

The Chelan Cross Country
Classic is scheduled for June 29th through July 4th, at Chelan, WA. The Classic
is a great meet for beginning XC pilots and seasoned competitors alike. The emphases is on having fun both in the air and on the ground. Eastern Washington offers world class cross country conditions and the resort town of Chelan, with it's beautiful lakes and welcoming community offers lots of opportunity for fun when you're not bagging 100+ mile flights out on the flats.
Unlike most competitions, pilots at the Classic choose their own task, and can
fly straight line, out & return or triangles. A pilots 4 best days of the 6
day event are scored. This year the competition will be sanctioned and offer points toward national ranking.
Early Registration for the
Classic is only $80 and includes T-shirt and BBQ. After April 30th registration will be $100. If you want to be scored, but
can’t make the whole week, $25 a day will get you in the competition. Remember,
Chelan is a beautiful resort town, so bring the whole family for fun in the
sun. All proceeds from the competition go towards keeping Chelan Butte open as a site for hang gliding and paragliding.

Camping: There are several campgrounds in the area if you decide not to get a hotel. Camping at the Chelan Airport will be available again this year for $3/night or you can try a more established camping area like Bebe which is directly across the river from the soccer field LZ.

Even if you've registered and paid online please stop by meet HQ to pick up the pilot competition guide, sign the pilot release form and pick up a cool CXCC T-Shirt.
GPS Downloads: 5:00pm- 6:00pm Sunday June 29th, Chelan Butte Launch
Registration: 9:00am –10:00am Pilot’s Meeting: 11:00am Daily July 1st-July 4th, Chelan Butte Launch
Pilot’s Meeting: 11:00am Friday July 4th, Soccer Field LZ
Picnic: 7:00pm (non comp pilots $10/adult, $5/child under12) Saturday July 5th, Lakeside Park
Awards Ceremony: 10:00am

After you have filled out the form, click the 'Submit' link and you will be taken to the CBCC Store where you will have the option to pay the registration fee online. $80 if you register before April 30th. $100 after that.
